Mars is exalted in Capricorn and debilitated in Cancer, why?

According to Brihat Parasara Hora Sastra the planet Mars represents the fourth incarnation Narasimha of the Supreme God Vishnu. We are well aware of the aggression and strength of Lord Narasimha who killed the most powerful and unconquerable demon Hiranyakashipu using his fingernails.
