Understaning Ashtakvarga table with Vedic astrology

Just see the above at(ashtakvarga) table and could you guess something ?

yes, Transits..

While you are looking for transit results of planets( I see it form moon/ chandra) and planets in followings houses are called favourable as per classics  - 

Sun in 3 – 6 – 10 – 11 houses,

Moon in 1 – 3 – 6 – 7 – 11 houses,

Mars in 3 – 6 – 11 houses,

Mercury in 2 – 4 – 6 – 8 – 10 – 11 houses,

Jupiter in 2 – 5 – 7 – 9 – 11 houses,

Venus in 1 – 2 – 3 – 4 – 5 – 8 – 9 – 11 – 12 houses,

Saturn in 3 – 6 – 11 houses,

Rahu and Ketu in 3 – 6 – 11 houses.

But the question is how much a planet in a house could be effective ? how much power it can give effect( No matter it is for good or bad/ beneffic or maleffic) . That would be decided by ashtakvarga. Nevermind, ashtakvarga is not that easy. Sanjay Rath ji have written a whole book on ashtakvarga. I am telling you 1% of ashtakvarga here. The more value of ashtakvarga means more effective that planet will be in that house. Like in above table mars in 4th house have 7 point means mars will give highest effect in 4th house. It is said mars is said 95% effect if value is 7. If value becomes lower than 7 the effectiveness of that planet in that house will decrease proportionately . value 1 and 2 is considerred no effect

Many of you still did not understand how to read this ashtakvarga table. Well, one of my friend send this to me and asked me to elaborated an ashtakvarga table with his chart. So, I picked his chart and explaining all the rules here now. 

lets read them one by one here -

Total value - 337

---Add points of all house and see it is 337 . 25+28+33+29+26+24+35+35+26+27+22+27 = 337 this value is distributed in all 12 houses.

---Divide 337 / 12 = 28 average. means less than 28 is bad and more than 28 is good. falling that 1/5/6/9/10/11/12th house have poor value and other houses have good value. Simply to say , they are strong. 2nd house have 28 value not good not bad. 7th and 8th house have 35 value and it is good.

---Less than 25 points is pretty bad i.e. 9th house( value 9) and 11th house(value 22) .

--- value of 1st/9th/10th/11th house all have less than 30 so, again this indicate negative.

---lagna and 4th house as well both have less than 30 value.

---value of 1st house is 25 means native will have real rise in life after 25 years of age.

---value of 2nd house is 28 which is great than value if 12th house i.e. 27 this indicates native will not waste his earning/ wealth.

---Value of 11th house is 22 and value if 12th house is more than value of 11th house i.e. 27 and this indicates savings will not stay natives hand ultimately.

--- Value of lagna + 2nd house + 4th house + 9th house + 10th house + 11th house = 157( It should be at least 164 for good) and adding value of 6th house + 8th house + 12th house = 86 and it is good( more than 76 is good)

---If lagna less more value than 7th house ( here L. = 25 and 7th house = 35) means native will be dominated by spouse and native will choose spouse path of life.

---6th house have more value means native will be hard working here value is just 24 means not hardworking native

---lagna + 4 +5 + 7 + 9 + 10 houses is called inner self. value of inner self is 168 and value of 2 + 3 + 6 + 8 + 11 + 12 houses is - 160 here .As per classics ' if it is inner self, then native will make money and become wealthy by his good deeds, learning, knowledgeable and charitable. Gulika according to Vedic astrology

While King Ravana tried to put all planets in 11th house, he blocked them in a chamber and kept them in 11th house in his sons house but saturn did not listen this block , only Sani spread ed his leg in 12th house. 

The Maandi is the son of Saturn, Maandi = Manda = Son of saturn. Just Rahu and ketu,  who dont have physical presense in planetary family Gulika/ Maandi is the same. They work as imiginary point, Upagraha, a satellite, that is related to Saturn. One of my friend told me( He is form Kerala) and they uses a lot regarding these Gulika/Maandi matters specially in prasanna , Horary and picking Muhurta. Many too believes these are the darker sides of Jyotish.

The reference to certain invisible satellites in the Jyothisha Phala Bhagam are Kala, Paridhi, Dhuna, Ardhaprahara, Yamakandaka, Indrachapa, Maandi, Vruthipatha and Upakethu. Besides, Ushnashikha, Vishti and Ekargalam are also considered during result-oriented periods.

Lets see how we could we calculate the Gulika /maandi . Due to rise of softwares, one can easily figure it out form software like - J. Hora etc. But we should know the calculation.

CALCULATIONS OF GULIKA:

step-1 : 1st of all collect the sunrise and sunset time of a day.

step-2 : Devide the whole time into eight parts i.e. devide by 8

Step-3 : 8th portion of everyday is lordless. Rest form 1st to 7th portion have lords and that is given to 7 planets( No rahu and ketu) i.e. Sun , Moon , Mars , Mercury , Jupiter , Venus & saturn

So, we get the following - 

1. the eighth portion is Lord-less,
2. while Shani's portion is Gulika.
3. Surya's portion is Kaala,
4. Mangala's portion is Mrityu,
5. Guru's portion is Yamaghantaka
6. and Budha's portion is Ardhaprahara.

Now, Gulika position will be 7th part of Sunday , 6th part of Monday , 5th part of Tuesday , 4th part of Wednesday , 3rd part of Thursday , 2nd Part of Friday and 1st Part of Saturday.

EXAMPLE 1:

date - 2rd August, 2018
Place - Grafton , Australia

Tithi - Thurseday

Sunrise - 5:45:41 am

Sunset - 7:59:43 am

Time difference(Ignoring seconds) - 14 hours 14 min = {(14 X 60) + 14 } min = 854 min 

Now each part will be - (854 / 8) min = 106.75 min = 106 min 45 sec = 1 hour 46 min 45 sec  ~ 1 hour 46 min

Now the day was Thursday

so, 3rd part of Thursday will be - { 5:45(sunrise) + 5:18(total sum of 2 parts 1 hour 46 min)} = 9 hours 17 min

Gulika time will start form 9:17 AM in morning to 11:03 AM. This time frame is called Gulika of that day. This time frame is not auspicious. use software for perfect timeframe.

Now, as you can see gulika depend on places so sunset and sunrise will be different form place to place. So, Gulika in Mumbai or San Francisco will be different.

9th May, 1975
native born in 9:45 Am calcutta , India
Lagna - 2 degree 11 min 11.61 sec cancer
Tithi - Krishna Triyodosi 
nakshtra - Revati 
Var - Friday
Sunrise - 5:03 am
Sunset - 6:02 pm

Ignoring seconds, time difference is - 12 hours 59 minutes
each part - (12 hours 59 min / 8) = 1 hour 37 minutes
Now , the day was Friday so 2nd part of Friday will be Gulika rasi

So, Sunrise + 1 hour 37 min i.e. 6 hour 40 min in morning which is at 21 degree of Taurus rasi. 

So, native born in in 9th may , 1975 9:45 am place calcutta, West bengal , India will have Gulika in around 21 degree taurus rasi. If you use computer programms you will get more accurate placements.
